Sophia Findlay is a Toronto-based communications specialist with expertise in journalism, social media content blogging, photography and an account manager for print, radio and online.
She currently works with Gleaner Media (Canada), G987FM and her own public relations start-up agency, WRD MRT PR. Sophia also volunteers as a board director at the University of Toronto’s radio station CIUT.
As a businesswoman, Sophia also managed and operated an authorised telecommunications franchise in Jamaica for many years. Sophia has written for print and online publications, which includes The Jamaica Observer Newspaper and its magazine, All Woman; The Toronto Star Newspaper and its glossy magazine, Sway, as well as, Channers Magazine and Huffington Post.
She is a strong advocate for women and children and has feature and instigated narratives journalistically. She is outgoing and fun-loving, so as a lifestyle connoisseur, fashion, beauty, health and fitness are topics she loves to explore and has written many columns depicting these interests.
Sophia is also a graduate of the Eleanor Fulcher Modelling School, where she specialized in make-up artistry and deportment. Her image has appeared in several periodicals over the years. However, her greatest accomplishment is being the mother of two children, Jhadé and Jacobi, and grandmother to Aja.
